Presence (M!Reader x Kurumi) Part 3

All went black... as night sky without stars. Why did i jump out to protect her?... i have no idea why.


Am i dead? i think to myself while my body wrapped by the darkness and feels like i'm falling without an end. I close my eyes in this already dark place.


Then a voice rings out.


"(y/n)..."


I opened my eyes and found myself standing on a green field. In front of me there's a girl standing. My eyes widen as soon as i recognize the voice owner is.


(y/n) : Kurumi?


I dashed towards her and hug her tightly


(y/n) : i'm glad that you're okay...


She just grin then giggle.


Kurumi : kukuku... how's the feeling of being used (y/n)?


(y/n) : how many times do i have to say it?! i don't care if i'm being used... as long that it's you i don't mind


Kurumi : kukuku... you're really are stupid...but i didn't hate it... i would like to see more of your stupidity but this is our farewell


(y/n) : huh?


Kurumu : goodbye (y/n)...


She disappear in my hug. Making my hands shiver.


(y/n) : no...no...NOO!!!

I jolted up and sweats heavily. i'm on a bed in a room that i didn't recognize. I looked around and seems like i'm in some sort of infimary room.


So it was just a dream i thought to myself


I remember what happens before i'm knocked out unconscious. I was protecting Kurumi and as a result i got slashed on my back, So maybe i'm in hospital. i looked at my body, to my suprise i'm wearing a t-shirt which has a teddy bear mark on the right chest. Which is suprising because i thought my body would be covered by bandage.


(y/n) : what's going on?


Suddenly the door opens revealing a middle aged woman who has eyebags under her eyes.


Woman : oh you're awake


I'm suprised that she talked to me normaly without having a death sensation. What's going on in here?!


(y/n) : h-how c-can you talk to me?


Woman : our leader will explain everthing to you, follow me


The woman move her hand indticating me to go somewhere. I got up and follow her. We walk on a hall that looks like a battleship that i used to look on tv.


(y/n) : excuse me... may i ask something?


Woman : yes?


(y/n) : where are we?


Woman : we're on Ratatoskr ship that currently flying above the sky


(y/n) : WHAT?!


Woman : we're here


We enters a room that looks like a house, but on the outside i saw a machine and a few control panels. So i guess this room can be projected to whatever they want, like a green screen.


When i enter the room i quickly realized that is my apartement room. With a girl with red hair that tied into twintails siting on the chair that i usually used for dinner.


(y/n) : um...


The woman leaves and closes the door, leaving me with the little girl.


Girl : why are you standing there? Have a seat


I nod nervously while i take a seat in front of her.


(y/n) : excuse me, but are you the leader?


She crossed her arm and legs while looking at me with intimidating eyes.


Kotori : yes, my name is Itsuka Kotori. Leader of Ratatoskr


(y/n) : wait... Itsuka? Are you Shido's sister perhaps?


Kotori : you're sharp, yes... i am his sister. But put that matter aside, you must be confused and have a lot of question


She continue to enjoy the lollipop in her mouth.


(y/n) : uhh.. yes.. first, how can you talk to me?


Kotori : to answer that... i must explain to you the basics.


Suddenly from the table a hologram pops out. It's a picture of Kurumi with her gothic dress.


Kotori : first, they called by the name of Spirit. An unknown being from another world that caused space quake when they enter this world. Tokisaki Kurumi is an example of a spirit


(y/n) : what?! Space quake? Aren't they caused by unexplainable-


I came to realization. Then stopped asking.


Kotori : unexplainable phenomenon? Yes they are that phenomenon. Let's continue


She crossed her legs to the other side. And suddenly the image change into the blue haired girl from before.


Kotori : Secondly... they called by the name of Anti Spirit Team AST for short. Their mission is to eradicate spirit by killing them.


My eyes widen, but i understands a bit. Because a creature that caused a phenomenon that can kill many people are most likely to be considered a threat.


Kotori : your friend Origami Tobiichi is one


(y/n) : what?!


I'm suprised by that fact, i never thought that Origami works for that kind of organization.


(y/n) : then what are you people?


Kotori : we are Raratoskr, an organization that nullify spirits


(y/n) : so you're the same with those AST guys?


Kotori : no... we're different, we seal the power of the spirit by dating them


The last words makes me sweatdropped.


(y/n) : d-date?


Kotori : yes, if a spirit falls in love their power will be sealed. But when their mood is bad, the power from that has been sealed may return to it's original owner.


(y/n) : ah i see...


She then points at me which makes me flinch on my seat.


Kotori : and (y/n), you yourself is a Spirit


My eyes widen as i hear that, i'm a spirit? What's that suppose to mean? I'm human as long as i can remember.


(y/n) : w-what do you mean?


Kotori : well i can't say you're a full spirit, how to say it.... you're more like a half spirit.


(y/n) : half spirit?


Kotori : yes, you have the power of a spirit reside within you, and the level is not like the spirits we sealed. But far more powerful, i'm suprised that you haven't caused a space quake yet. The reason that you cured from that injury is the same reason as before


I check my back. Yes, they are no injuries from being slashed.


(y/n) : ... the power that reside within me... Kurumi said that too. But how powerful is it?


I grabbed my chest and i can feel my heartbeat thumping fastly. Is it because of fear or suprised, i didn't really know.


Kotori : well i can't tell you how powerful but on a scale from 1-100...


She takes out her candy and points it at me.


Kotori : you're probably on the number of 101 even more


My eyes widen.


(y/n) : wait wait wait... you must be joking right? 101 out of 100 that's crazy...


Kotori : you can say whatever you want but you can't change the fact. The most powerful spirit can kill ten million people. But you... with your full power... may wipe the planet surface...


I hold my head in disbelief.


(y/n) : i'm...


That's why Kurumi wants me, but what's for?


Kotori : the scary part is you're only half spirit. Imagine if you're a full spirit... i didn't want to imagine that...


(y/n) : hey...


Kotori : hmmm?


(y/n) : why does Kurumi wants me?


Kotori : ah i forgot to tell you... stay away from her


(y/n) : w-what?! why?!


Kotori : she's dangerous, she killed over a hundred person even thousands.


My heart stopped beating as soon as i hear her sentences


(y/n) : w-what do you mean?


Kotori : as i said, she killed many people.


(y/n) : y-you're lying right?


Kotori : . . . .


(y/n) : that can't be true right?!


I slammed the table in anger.


Kotori : *pant* *pant* ugh... calm down...


Kotori face suddenly goes pale, her breath are heavy and is about to collapsed.


(y/n) : h-hey... are you okay?


I rushed to her side.


Kotori : *inhale* yes i'm okay.


She regain her posture and sits back. I also return to my seat.


Kotori : anyway, as i said before... we can't let you come close to her.


I looked down in sadness.


(y/n) : why?


Kotori : there's no telling what she'll do when she got your power.


I understand what she's saying, but i just can't accept it. I want to see her again, her smile, her face, her laugh, her hair, her everything. Even her beautiful eyes.


(y/n) : i understand everything and all.., but that leaves the question unanswered...


Kotori : hmm?


(y/n) : how can you talk to me... and-


Kotori : and didn't feel death?


(y/n) : *nod* yes...


Kotori : haven't i said the reason? When a spirit fall in love, their power will be sealed...


(y/n) : that mean...


Kotori : yes...

(y/n) : I... fell in love?


Kotori : i wonder who is the lucky girl... a psychotic spirit perhaps?


She said in sarcastic tone, which irritates me a little.


(y/n) : she's not psychotic!


Kotori : she is....but you love her anyway right?


(y/n) : .... yes


I didn't even feel suprised, as if my heart already know that i love her.


(y/n) : one more thing... are you the good guys or the bad guys?


Kotori : we're bad... very bad... we change your blood stained clothes with a teddie bear t-shirt. We even treated you like a special guest... we're soooo evil~


Still in sarcastic tone that i didn't like but it makes me chuckle a little.


(y/n) : alright alright i get it...


She smiles too.


(y/n) : so... you guys can seal spirit by dating them right?


Kotori : yes, why?


(y/n) : then you guys have to let me date Kurumi!


Kotori : it's not that simple idiot... the only one who can seal the power is my brother... Shido


(y/n) : wait... Shido? He can seal spirit howcome? And he's involved in this too?


Kotori : yes... but we didn't knew how he was able to seal it though


(y/n) : but why my power is sealed?


Kotori : your power is not sealed, it even haven't awaken yet


(y/n) : what? Isn't feeling death when someone talks to me is my power?


Kotori : to put it on a simple way, your power leaked...


(y/n) : leaked?


Kotori : yeah like a bucket that have a hole


(y/n) : so that isn't my power?


Kotori : nope, your emotion is just like something that cover the hole but when your emotion worsen, the cover will disappear and causing your power to leak again. And your love is a temporaly cover, as long as you love someone. The cover will not disappear.


(y/n) : love huh?


I began think about Kurumi and smile.


Kotori : and that's our problem


(y/n) : huh? Why?


Kotori : you fell in love with a psycho spirit that wants your power.


(y/n) : she's not a psycho!


Kotori : *sigh* whatever... but i'll ask you one thing...


Can you forget about Kurumi?


(y/n) : . . . . I knew you would ask that... but the answer is no, and you can't make me


Kotori : *sigh* thought so too...what should we do? If we try to force you to forget about Kurumi you may end up in trauma. And not just rips the cover of the bucket off but also making new holes on it. Which means trouble.


(y/n) : does that mean i can see Kurumi?


Kotori : idiot, what did i just say before? She's a psychopath who wants your power to destroy this world


(y/n) : again! She's not a psycho!!


Kotori : whatever... anyway you're not allowed to leave this ship


(y/n) : huh? Why?


Kotori : you're now under the investigation of AST and they put you on top tier scale level... if they find out who you are... they won't hesitate to end you


(y/n) : *gulp* so that's why Origami checking on me.


Kotori : you should be thankful that i'm personaly explaining it to you


(y/n) : yeah... i'm aware that you're a captain, so you must've been busy. But you bother come here to explain the sitaution to me... thanks, you have my gratitude


Kotori : . . . . I see. . . . *blush*


She fell silent for a moment, not knowing what to do. The athmosphere is akward now.


Kotori : *gets up* well i must get going, don't leave before i told you anything


(y/n) : . . . Alright then


She leaves the room, leaving me alone with a glass of coffee on the table. Did she prepared it for me? How nice... i drink the coffee, it's a bit bitter but i feel refreshed now. I wait for quite a while, not knowing what to do i stand up and walk to the door. Kotori told me that i can't go out, but my boredom is killing me. It's weird because usually i didn't feel bored. I open the door and to my suprise there was a woman from before, she seems about to knock the door.


Woman : ah, what a coincidence. General is calling for you


(y/n) : you mean Kotori?


Woman : yes, now follow me


I nodded and follow her, it was a silent and akward walk. Since i got my ability to talk normaly to people, i decided to breaks the silent.


(y/n) : so um... i didn't catch your name before


Reine : oh yeah... my name is Reine but i already know your name


(y/n) : nice to meet you


Reine : nice to meet you too


(y/n) : so what's going on?


Reine : general will explain it to you


We enter some sort of command room. With many people inside, and Kotori siting in the boss' place like a boss she is. And beside him there's Shido and two girls one i recognize as Tohka and the other is a child with blue hair.


Kotori : ah you arrived


(y/n) : wait a minute, Tohka's involved in this too?


Tohka : woooww!!! You actually speak!


She rush to me and looks at me with glimmering eyes which making me jolted out of suprise, i looked at Shido who's waving at me.


Tohka : i've always wanted to talk with you!


(y/n) : u-uh umm...


Shido : Tohka... he must be confused


Kotori : enough... since you're here i want to announce an operation


She stands up.


Kotori : We're going to make (y/n) (l/n) and Kurumi Tokisaki DATE!!!!




Everyone : WHHAAAAATTT???!!!!!


Wait... this is so absurd, first she didn't want me to date her, now she wants me to date her?! I'm so confused.


Kotori : Reine just did a test on (y/n) and it seems that he was able to seal spirit as well


(y/n) : wait... when did you-


Man : Commander! This is nonsense! We can't let him get near her! Who might knows if she able to steal his power?!


Kotori : but if he able to steal her power then the problem is solved


Man : but what if he used it for bad deeds!!


He points at me with irritating face.


(y/n) : ugh...


Shido : and Kotori you said earlier that i have to date her!


(y/n) : wait wut?!


I looked at Shido with wide eyes.


(y/n) : you got Tohka... not to mention Origami... and you still want to date someone else?!


Tohka : that's right Shido! You have me! Let's go on a date!


Shido : Tohka it's compli- uh...


He doesn't seem like he want to hurt her feeling so he just pat her.


Shido : next time okay?


Tohka : *pouts*


Kotori : yes i did tell you to ask her on a date but that's when we switch you with him, he got a better chance than you. Plus she's more intrested in him


(y/n) : about that... she probably think me as a lifestock who can be harvested at anytime. Her smile, her laugh, her fear is all fake.


Kotori : and that's where you're wrong!


(y/n) : what?


Kotori : we've been monitoring her mood for quite a while, for instance when she's with Shido her mood is on indeed a high level.


(y/n) : ugh... figures...


Kotori : but the bar doesn't move an inch it stays like that until she parted way with Shido. Then her mood returns to non existent level, is like she can fake her feeling.


She then smiles a little


Kotori : but when she's with you... her mood, her expression suddenly changes. From non existent to high like Shido


(y/n) : so i'm no different than Shido then.


Kotori : the thing is... it's slowly raising


(y/n) : huh?


Kotori : the more she talk to you the more she smile when she's with you the more you talk to her the more you smiled to her. Increase her mood even more...


My eyes widen as i heard this


Kotori : not like Shido... her mood when she's with you always increase and never stops, her expression, her act. She can't even fake it anymore. So all of her smiles, her fear and her tears are real!


Then i remembered her tears before i got slashed by the blade.


Kotori : and from that we can conclude that you have more chance to be with her than anyone else in this world


My tears escape my eyes. I felt happy...





Man : still! I didn't approve on this! You two can't be together! It will bring a world into chaotic state! Even more you can't even control your power! What will happen if AST hunt you down?!


This man is really ruining the mood. It makes my blood boils a little, what did he knew about me, what did he knew about Kurumi. I looked at him with a deadly stare. Reine who is on her seat is stratled.


Reine : watch out! His mood is-!!!


(y/n) : can you please Shut. The. Hell. Up!!!


Winds blows from me, everyone was speechless.





-Silence Fills The Air-





Kotori looks at her surrounding but nothing seems to be wrong everyone check themself and nothing seems to be wrong.


Shido : what... just happend?


Suddenly the man sweats a lot, he tries to speak but nothing comes out from his mouth.


Reine : *eyes widen* could it be...?


Kotori : *chuckle* HAHAHAHAHA! This is funny! That's what you get for disobeying a commander. (y/n) can you stop it? I know you didn't do it in purpose


(y/n) : h-how?


Kotori : i dunno try something


I took a deep breath and say


You can speak now


Man : gaaah!!...


He breaths heavily.


Kotori : *smiles* you seems like you can control your power a little


(y/n) : i wouldn't say it like that... it just comes out all of the sudden


Kotori : do you know what triggers it?


(y/n) : yes...


I point at the blonde man.


(y/n) : i hate the way he's talking like he knew me or Kurumi


Man : *ahem* pardon me, i lose my cool. My apologies


(y/n) : *smiles* apologies accepted


Shido : so what now?


Kotori : *smirk* Let Our Date...

A certain black haired girl on a dress is waiting for someone.


Kurumi : my... he's late...


Then suddenly a person with (h/c) hair walks to her.


(y/n) : hey...


She turns around and her eyes widen. The wind blows, swiping both of their hair. She then smiles.


Kurumi : (y/n)....


(y/n) : hi Kurumi, i missed you...


Kurumi : *giggle* so i've been tricked, well it's not like i hate it or anything


She then hold the person's hand which making him blush.


Kurumi : let's start our date! Shall we?


(y/n) : *nod* alright
